Most porta potty quotes take only a few minutes when you have the right details. Missing details cause the delays: a wrong pin, a gate code nobody shared, or a pickup date that was never set.
Run through this checklist before you call. It works for parties, weddings, job sites and home remodels across Whatcom and Skagit counties.
What information do I need to get a porta potty quote?
To get a porta potty quote in Bellingham, have the delivery address or ZIP, the dates, the number of guests or workers and the hours of use. The address sets the delivery zone, and headcount and hours set the number of units. With these four details, a quote can usually be written the same day.
- Address or ZIP: Sets the delivery zone and timing.
- Dates: Delivery, event or start date, and pickup.
- Headcount: Guests for events, workers for job sites.
- Hours: A 4-hour party and a 10-hour shift need different counts.
Written quotes go out within 1 business hour during Monday–Saturday hours. They are itemized: unit, rental length, servicing, delivery and pickup, any rush fee and tax.
What if I don't have a street address?
A map pin or GPS coordinates work for farms, trailheads, cabin lots and new construction in Whatcom and Skagit counties. Send the pin plus the nearest road name and any gate or field road notes. For islands such as Lummi or the San Juans, add the ferry route so the run can be scheduled.
- Drop a pin on the exact spot, not the driveway entrance.
- Name the closest road and any landmark a driver would see.
- Note any gates, cattle guards or soft field roads.
Ferry and border places, such as the San Juan Islands, Lummi Island, Guemes Island and Point Roberts, need at least 3 business days' notice.
Do I need more units if food or alcohol is served?
Food and alcohol both raise restroom use, so tell us if either is part of your Bellingham event. Alcohol adds more trips per guest, and food service makes hand washing important. Plan for extra units or a hand washing station near the food. Our count guide shows how headcount and hours change the number.
- Alcohol: Plan extra capacity, especially for evening events.
- Food: Add a hand washing station between toilets and food.
- Kids: Families with young children use units more often.

What should I tell you about where the unit goes?
Send a photo of the spot where the porta potty should go, with an arrow if possible. Note level ground, gate width, steps, overhead wires and any soft lawn. In Bellingham's wet months, a firm spot near a hard surface keeps trucks from getting stuck. A photo saves guessing on delivery day.
- Photo of the spot and the path from the street.
- Gate width, measured post to post. A standard unit is about 43.5 inches wide.
- Steps, slopes and tight corners.
- Wires, branches or eaves overhead.
- Whether the spot is on private property or the street. Streets may need a permit.
Not sure the spot works? Send the photo and ask before booking.
Does someone have to be home when you deliver or pick up?
Nobody needs to be home for delivery or pickup in Bellingham as long as the driver can reach the spot and knows where to put the unit. Share gate codes, lockbox details and a site contact's phone number. Mark the spot with a cone, chalk or a photo with an arrow. Leave the path clear.
- Gate or lock codes: Share them in writing.
- Site contact: Name and phone of who is on site, like a foreman or event host.
- Pets and livestock: Tell us if dogs or animals are loose.
- Parking: Keep cars off the delivery path.
How do I book, pay and plan the pickup?
Book a porta potty by phone or quote request, then confirm the dates and payment. Event units arrive the day before and are picked up after, often Friday drop and Monday pickup for weekends. Long-term rentals renew every 28 days until you call or text for pickup. Cancel 48 hours before delivery for a full refund.
- Payment: Have a card ready, or ask for an emailed quote to share with a spouse, committee or project manager.
- Cancellation: Full refund if cancelled 48 hours before delivery.
- Pickup: Events have a set pickup. Long-term rentals need a call or text when you're done.
- Same day: Available Monday–Saturday in Whatcom and Skagit mainland when you call by noon, subject to truck availability.

How far in advance do I need to book?
Same-day delivery is possible in Whatcom and Skagit mainland when you call by noon, subject to trucks. For summer weekends and holidays, book a few weeks ahead. Ferry and border places need at least 3 business days.
Can you email or text me the quote so I can share it?
Quotes are sent in writing within 1 business hour during open hours. Share it with whoever needs to approve it. Reply when you are ready to book.
Do you deliver on Saturdays?
Saturday delivery is available. Weekend event units usually arrive Friday and get picked up Monday at no extra charge.
Can I add more units later if the event grows?
More units can be added if trucks and stock allow. Call as soon as your headcount changes. Waiting until the last week can limit what's available.

Call or text with the site address. Pickup is scheduled and billing stops at the end of that cycle. No invoice number is needed, though it helps.
