What restroom setup does a wedding need?

A 150-guest, 5-hour wedding with a bar needs 6 toilets: 150 ÷ 40 = 4 (rounded up), plus 2 for the bar. That can be a 4-station restroom trailer, 1 deluxe flushing unit and 1 ADA wheelchair-accessible unit, or 5 deluxe units plus 1 ADA unit. Add one hand washing station for every 3 porta potties.

Is a restroom trailer or porta potties better for a wedding?

A restroom trailer is better for a wedding when the venue has a hose spigot, a 110-volt outlet, level ground for the truck and more than 80 guests. Deluxe flushing porta potties are better on sloped farmland, beaches and sites without hookups, and they cost less.

How far ahead should you book wedding restrooms?

Book wedding restrooms 3 to 6 weeks ahead for June through September Saturdays in Whatcom and Skagit counties, when trailers book out first. Spring weddings during Skagit Valley Tulip Festival weekends in April also fill early. Off-season weddings can often book within a week.

What should the venue check before delivery?

Before a wedding restroom delivery, the venue checks four things: a firm path the truck can drive without crossing soft lawn, a level spot near but downwind of the tent, the hose spigot and outlet distances for a trailer, and a lit path for evening guests.

  • Send a photo or map pin of the spot with your quote request.
  • Farm venues: mark septic lids, drain fields and irrigation lines.
  • Island venues: tell us the ferry route so the delivery fits the sailing schedule.

Weddings rental questions

Can the restroom arrive the day before the rehearsal?

Units and trailers can arrive before the rehearsal and stay through the wedding. The quote lists the days.

Do you provide a restroom attendant?

An attendant can be added for receptions over about 5 hours or 150 guests. The attendant restocks and wipes down during the event.

Can you deliver to a wedding on Lummi Island or the San Juans?

Island weddings are scheduled around ferry sailings and need at least 3 business days' notice. Ask early for summer dates.

Do you decorate the restrooms?

Units arrive clean and stocked. Couples often add flowers, a basket and signs; keep them clear of vents and doors.

What if it rains on the wedding day?

Trailers and units are set on firm ground before the rain. Plan a covered or lit path, and place mats at trailer steps.
