How do you rent a porta potty while your bathroom is remodeled?
Rent one standard porta potty on the 28-day cycle, placed in the driveway or beside the house, with weekly service. Most Bellingham bathroom remodels run 3 to 8 weeks, so plan two cycles and call for pickup when the toilet is reset. Add a hand washing station if the kitchen sink is out too.
What if the septic system fails or is being replaced?
A failed or replaced septic system usually leaves a house without a toilet for 2 to 10 days, longer if permits or drain-field work are involved. Rent a unit for the work window, placed away from the excavation and the truck path the septic contractor needs.
Whatcom County homes on septic must use certified installers and have permits for repairs; see Whatcom County Health septic program. Keep the porta potty clear of the dig.

Where should the unit go at a house?
Put a home porta potty on the driveway, a gravel strip or a firm part of the yard the truck can reach, close to the door but not under eaves that drip. On the street side, a unit in the right-of-way needs a city permit, so keep it on your side of the sidewalk.

After choosing home remodels and septic work as the job type, most renters need three more answers before booking: which unit fits, how many units the head count needs, and what the itemized quote will include. The planning pages below cover each one for Bellingham and the surrounding counties.
Home remodels and septic work rental questions
Can I get one today because the water is off?
Same-day delivery runs Monday through Saturday when you call by noon. Have the address and the spot ready.
Will the neighbors see it?
Units can sit beside the garage or behind a fence line if the truck can reach it. Ask the driver for the least visible spot that still works.
Does my HOA allow a porta potty?
Many HOAs allow temporary units during construction. Check your rules; the quote can be sent to the HOA.
Is a deluxe unit worth it for a family?
Families with small kids often prefer the deluxe flushing unit with a sink inside, especially in winter.
What if the remodel takes longer than planned?
The rental renews every 28 days until you call for pickup, so nothing needs rebooking.
